Watershed Data
Watershed data presented here
were collected on three Interior Northwest watersheds that were
harvested and then burned using prescribed fire.
The three watersheds
(Hermada, Slate Point, and Round Up) are located in Idaho and Montana
as illustrated in the diagram below.
The data were used to test the prediction accuracy of a
modified WEPP
developed for forests and a geospatial version of WEPP called
GeoWEPP Arc X. The project is presented in detail in the Masters thesis
Accuracy
Assessment of WEPP-based Erosion Models for Harvested and Burned
Forest Watersheds.
The data for each watershed include a general site
description, soil erodibility information, climate data, and watershed
outputs of runoff and sediment.
