Proposed onsite sediment yield model for forest conditions

Burroughs, E.R., Jr.; J. Nordin. 1987. Proposed onsite sediment yield model for forest conditions. Paper No. 87-2583. Written for presentation at the 1987 International Meeting of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Hyatt Regency Chicago, Illinois Center, December 15-18, 1987. Abstract: Characteristics and conditions that affect modeling of onsite surface erosion and sediment yield from forest roads, harvest areas, and woodlands are obtained. Simulated rainfall will be used to develop relationships between model parameters and site characteristics such as bulk density, soil texture, etc. A description of the methodology follows.
