Abstract: Within the USDA Forest Service, there has been an award winning Technology Transfer Program between the Slope Stability Research Team, and the National Forest System who manage over 200 million acres of forest, grassland, and research lands (USDA, 1992). This paper describes this program and compares it to other technology transfer programs within natural resource management.
