Abstract: We have developed Internet interfaces for forest applications (FS WEPP) of the Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) model. We compared predicted erosion rates and sediment plume lengths from forest roads and other forest conditions with published field observations; generally the interfaces predicted values similar to the observed values. Exceptions included low-use older roads, roads with channelized runoff and other channel effects, and sites where landslides were a major source of sediment.
