Mission: To develop methods of identifying, assessing, and planning for mitigation of high-risk landslide areas associated with road construction.

The slope stability research program was terminated in October 1995. Tom Koler has left the Forest Service, and David Hall remains to distribute slope stability software and perform computer support and programming for the other Soil and Water Engineering projects.
